Hi, I’m Jack Strong. I live near Vancouver, BC, in Canada. I’m nine years old and attend Brooke Elementary School. At first, when I was zero to 4.5 years old, I lived in Richmond, BC. At my first daycare, Lil’ Chickadees, I made one of the bestest friends I’ve made in my life. His name is Cohen Short. Cohen is a quarter of a year younger than me and he’s really good at ice hockey. Cohen played a big part in my life because I sometimes only went to daycare because of Cohen. But then I moved and started kindergarten where I currently live, in Delta. I still see Cohen for birthdays, Christmases and all of that stuff but now I met one of the other big parts in my life, a friend named Tyler Combs. He was the only reason I was introduced to more and more and more people! He’s also pretty strong and sometimes defends me from others and uses language that doesn’t hurt the bully. So, this book is for Tyler and his family, and for Cohen and his family, as well as for my family. Thank you, Tyler and Cohen. And now here I am, watching videos, playing games, trying to qualify for E-sport tournaments, sleeping, and eating like an unordinary nine-year-old. Being not very normal made me realize, “Wait, if nobody is technically normal then isn’t everyone normal?” What I meant was, “No one is normal. But we all have something in common so doesn’t that make us all even?”
